The Department of Rheumatology at SIMS Health is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions that affect the joints, muscles, and connective tissues. Our rheumatology team specializes in managing complex chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus (SLE), ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, vasculitis, and other systemic rheumatic diseases. With a focus on early diagnosis and personalized treatment, the department aims to prevent joint damage, reduce inflammation, and enhance patients' mobility and quality of life. Utilizing the latest advancements in diagnostic technology, including autoimmune panel testing, inflammatory markers, and imaging support from radiology, the department delivers a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approach to care. Treatment plans often include disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologics, pain management strategies, and physical therapy support in collaboration with our physiotherapy team. At SIMS Health, the Department of Rheumatology is committed to helping patients manage chronic pain, maintain independence, and live fuller, more active lives despite the challenges of autoimmune disease.
